No. All detection, anonymisation, and reversion are done entirely on your device using a local AI model. Your documents and text are never uploaded, stored, or processed on external servers.

Yes. The app maintains a local, secure mapping vault that allows you to restore the original content, review what was anonymised, and keep full control over your data.

Free users can anonymise unlimited documents, with up to 5 data entities per document. Pro users get unlimited entities per document.

An internet connection is only needed the first time you enable Smart Scan to download the local AI model (~40MB). After that, the app works completely offline.

No. We do not have servers that store your data. Everything is processed and stored locally in your browser. We never see, access, or store your documents or sensitive information.

If you clear your browser data, you will lose the local mapping vault which stores the original-to-anonymised mappings. This means you won't be able to revert previously anonymised text. We recommend exporting important mappings before clearing browser data.
